What A Day at Scribbles Looks Like
Daily Schedule
Children arrive between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. during which snack is served. Depending on the day of the week, snack may be followed by story time, show & tell, circle time, or art. These activities are followed by indoor or outdoor play until lunchtime. Lunch is served from 11:45 a.m. and followed by quiet time until 2:30 p.m. After quiet time, we have afternoon snack followed by a story, group activity and free play.

nut-free environment. I ask all parents to wash their child’s face and hands before coming to preschool in order to accommodate potential allergens.
Daily Journals
A journal is shared with written observations about your child’s development and progress as well as anecdotes about interactions with their peers.
Allergies & Emergency Procedures
A plan for each child with allergies is reviewed with parents as new foods are introduced. Parents are required to purchase an epi-pen which remains at the day care. Most dietary needs can be accommodated, but in case of multiple allergies, parents are required to send their child’s lunch. The daycare is a nut-free zone.
A fire extinguisher, smoke/CO detector, and first aid kit are located on both levels. An emergency evacuation plan is posted with designated alternate pick-up site for children. The home is inspected annually by certified fire alarm technician; the fire safety plan is reviewed by WCMCI Fire & Safety.
